Many families have shoeboxes of photographs. But they would be a lot more useful if they were made into digital images so they could be easily shared with other family memories. Common flatbed scanners work fine for digitizing prints. But people may not realize is that negatives contain a lot more detail than prints. If you have saved your negatives, I'll show you ways of converting your slides and negatives into digital images.
Flatbed scanners don't work well for scanning slides or negatives. Quality scanners that are dedicated to scan transparancies (slides and negatives) are expensive and are getting hard to find. But digital cameras are very plentiful. I'll show you how to use your digital camera to "scan" your slides and negatives.
