Camera Scanning your Slides

An illustrated guide.

This is how I use camera scanning to convert slides into color corrected images.

Use a camera to digitize the slide

Using a Canon 60D + 60mm macro lens + Photosolve Extend-a-Slide to 'camera scan' slides.

Then load the image into your image editing program and crop and edit as needed. Because slides are positive images, there isn't really anything specfic about editing camera scanned slides. Just edit like any other digital image.

(Well, maybe Kodachromes need special attention. I'll get back to this eventually.)
